About the Foundation

The Peninsula Valley Historic & Education Foundation, Inc. was formed in 1997 by the late Robert L. Hunker and serves area residents, visitors, and school children by promoting historic preservation, maintaining archives, preserving artifacts, and providing tours of our historic buildings.

Mission

To preserve the heritage, maintain the character and promote the vitality of Peninsula, Ohio and the Cuyahoga Valley by engaging the community through educational programs, historic preservation and volunteerism.

Vision

Peninsula Valley Historic & Education Foundation will honor the heritage of Peninsula, Ohio and the Cuyahoga Valley through stewardship, preservation and maintenance of irreplaceable historic properties.

We will provide exceptional educational opportunities through multiple museums that will house libraries, historic archives and exhibitions related to the region.

We will be a leader in, partner of, and resource to the community promoting its unique character for future generations.
