In 1887-88, local man Andrew Cassidy had this building constructed as a cheese factory. It was built next to the railroad tracks so that products could be easily shipped. He was later put out of business by J.B. Stouffer, a larger manufacturer who established a competing factory. The building was later converted to a residence.
