Preserving Peninsula's Past for the Future.

Historic 1840s Advent Service

Rev. Suntken dressed in historical costume and portrayed Rev. Abraham Bronson, the original rector of Bethel Church as it was known then. It was the same service that the original settlers of Peninsula would have celebrated during the Christmas season in the 1840s.

The service was well attended. Hot spiced cider and cookies were served after the service.

Special thanks to Rev. Suntken and Dr. Jean Rhodes and for all their time and efforts to help make the reenactment a success!
